Broncos halfback Brodie Croft has his sights set abroad after inking a new deal to join Stalford in the Super League next year.<\/p>\n

The Broncos had made it clear to Croft that they would not stand in the way if he wanted to explore options elsewhere<\/a>, as part of a top-down overhaul of their roster at Red Hill.<\/p>\n

The halfback still has a season remaining on his current three-year deal with Brisbane but it is understood negotiations could see the Broncos pay a portion of his 2022 salary with his new club.<\/p>\n

"Brodie has a terrific work ethic and has given his all since arriving at the Broncos," Broncos football and performance director Ben Ikin said in a statement.<\/p>\n

"Everyone at the club wishes Brodie and his young family all the best in the future.<\/p>\n

"We have made some long-term decisions which have seen players move on, while others have extended or signed with the club for 2022 and beyond."<\/p>\n

Croft's departure is the latest in a line of big-name offloads, including the likes of Matthew Lodge and Tevita Pangai Junior. His release frees up space in Brisbane's salary cap for next season.<\/p>\n

Croft will play the final four games of the season at the Broncos but is no certainty to hold on to his starting spot.<\/p>\n

Croft said he was "super excited about this opportunity to join the RedDevils" after consulting with coach Richard Marshall.<\/p>\n

"Rich has been very thorough and bold with the ambitions going forward at the club and I cannot wait to get started.<\/p>\n

"My partner Safina, son Haris and myself are looking forward to moving at the end of the year to begin this new journey together."<\/p>\n
