Warriors coach Nathan Brown admits it was "disappointing" a number of his players allowed Sharks centre Will Chambers to get inside their heads during New Zealand's 18-16 win<\/a> on the Gold Coast.<\/p>\n

Chambers throughout the match was seen getting into a number of verbal exchanges with Warriors players before Kane Evans let his emotions get the better of him by lashing out at the Cronulla centre.<\/a><\/p>\n

Late in the first half with scores locked at 6-apiece, Evans, who had only been on the field for a matter of minutes after coming off the interchange bench, made a costly error with the ball before Chambers appeared to let him know about it.<\/p>\n

Evans was far from impressed with the feedback and exploded, lashing out with two punches aimed at the chin of the Cronulla centre. He was sin-binned for the matter.<\/p>\n

Brown said his team ultimately fell victim to Chambers' ability to rattle opposition players, something which his players aren't as good at.<\/p>\n

"Probably the most disappointing this was we had some senior players engaging with Will," Brown told reporters after the match.<\/p>\n

"As I explained to a couple of them at half-time who had lost their ways, Will can engage in it and still play reasonably well.<\/p>\n

"Our guys were engaging in it and not playing well. It had a bad effect on our football team.<\/p>\n

\"Kane<\/p>\n

"We pretty much leaked two tries because Will was smarter than us and that was the disappointing thing.<\/p>\n

"Sin-binnings do happen and we don't want them to happen, but Will is a bit smarter than a couple of our experienced blokes.<\/p>\n

"Kane had his moments I suppose, but we had the win at the end of the day and that's what it's all about."<\/p>\n

While the Warriors ultimately found a way to win, Evans didn't do his side any favours by copping another stint in the bin for a head slam tackle in Chambers during the second half.<\/p>\n

In all, Evans finished the match with two errors, four penalties conceded and two stints in the sin bin.<\/p>\n
