Aussie hurdler Nicholas Hough battled bravely through a calf injury in his semi-final of the 110m, but unfortunately has failed to reach the final.<\/p>\n

Hough crossed the line in 13.88, almost half a second slower than his heat time, after colliding with every single hurdle on his way through.<\/p>\n

American Grant Holloway qualified fastest for tomorrow's final, with a time of 13.13.<\/p>\n

"I'm just happy I got out there on the track today, I had a bit of a sore calf after the heat yesterday," Hough said.<\/p>\n

\"Nicholas<\/p>\n

He said he was able to run on the injury, but had to limit his preparation.<\/p>\n

"I didn't know how bad it was gonna get, but I got through the race. Be a bit sore tomorrow, but that's OK.<\/p>\n

"It was a bit of a struggle to warm up, didn't have much power getting going and driving through the hurdles – but it's great to be out here representing Australia."<\/p>\n

Hough said the next three years now were about building for the 2024 Games.<\/p>\n

"It's a big couple of years – Paris is my time, that's going to be the big one for me."<\/p>\n
