Viney is suspended for the Demons' clash against the West Coast Eagles next Monday and the following round's fixture against the Adelaide Crows.<\/p>\n

The Tribunal jury of Paul Williams, Wayne Henwood and Shane Wakelin did not agree with Viney's initial claim that he only made contact with Collins' jaw as they wrestled each other, and found him guilty.<\/p>\n
"[It] Isn't a great look for the sport and I accept my responsibility in escalating the situation," Viney told the hearing via video call, before disagreeing with the Tribunal that his actions were unsportsmanlike.<\/p>\n
"It was more a show of defence. I didn't want to get rolled over and him be on top of me.<\/p>\n
"That was the position I was pulled into."<\/p>\n
Viney also said that Collins dared the Demons star to hit him.<\/p>\n
AFL counsel Jeff Gleeson argued it was in fact a show of force, and that Viney's defence claim was "nonsense".<\/p>\n
Collins was not injured as a result of the melee, and he was not called upon to give evidence during the lengthy Tribunal hearing.<\/p>\n
