Veteran Papua New Guinea Test winger David Mead is set to return to Australia after three years in Super League to bolster the ranks of the Broncos.<\/p>\n
A proven try poacher with nearly 100 touchdowns to his name, 32-year-old Mead is quitting French club Catalans and is close to signing a deal with the Broncos.<\/p>\n
After starting his career with the Titans in 2016, Mead played one season in Brisbane in 2017, scoring three tries in 12 games.<\/p>\n

He has been solid without being spectacular in his time in Super League but the Broncos feel his experience will help their young backline.<\/p>\n
Mead is one of the fastest players in the rugby league world and has scored many spectacular tries in his 12 seasons in the big time.<\/p>\n
He has played 14 Tests for PNG, where he is regarded as a national hero.<\/p>\n
