Warriors winger Dallin Watene-Zelezniak scored the opening try of the Rabbitohs clash<\/a> and dedicated the four-pointer to his newborn, who arrived in the world last night.<\/p>\n

Such is reality in COVID-19 times that Watene-Zelezniak, who's now based with the Warriors in their Gold Coast biosecurity hub<\/a>, wasn't able to be with his wife for the arrival of their third child.<\/p>\n

But the former Panther and Bulldog paid tribute to his family in a beautiful try celebration on the Sunshine Coast, pretending to rock a baby in a cradle in his arms, after swooping on a loose ball and racing 50 metres against the run of play to score in the fifth minute.<\/p>\n

The try marked Watene-Zelezniak's first as a Warrior and his first in the NRL since Round 10 of last season, when he crossed for the Bulldogs against the Raiders in Brisbane.<\/p>\n

Today's try from the New Zealand international also saw him notch the 50th four-pointer of his NRL career.<\/p>\n
