Australian football fans can ride with Ange Postecoglou as he enters the European football furnace with Celtic on Wednesday morning.<\/p>\n

The former Socceroos coach will manage his first competitive match with Celtic in their second round Champions League qualifying match against Danish side FC Midtjylland.<\/p>\n

Postecoglou was appointed coach of the storied Scottish giants last month in a watershed moment for Australian football managers.<\/a><\/p>\n

Postecoglou is demanding more from his players after being beaten 1-0 by Preston North End in a pre-season friendly.<\/p>\n

"It wasn't a great game for us \u2013 we didn't start well and lost a bit of belief," the 55-year-old told Celtic TV.<\/p>\n

"We're building towards a good fitness level. It's a very young group at the moment that we're throwing out there.<\/p>\n

"It's no secret that we need to bring some players in and we're working hard to do that.<\/p>\n

Celtic's squad includes Socceroos midfielder Tom Rogic while fellow Aussie international Awer Mabil is on the books of Midtjylland.<\/p>\n

The matches mark the start of a new era for football broadcasting in Australia with Stan last month announcing a long-term partnership agreement with UEFA.<\/a><\/p>\n

Stan has secured exclusive broadcast rights to every match of the Champions League, Europa League, Europa Conference League, UEFA Youth League and UEFA Super Cup for the next three seasons.<\/p>\n
