Rugby league legend Cooper Cronk has called for Reece Walsh to not involve himself so heavily in scuffles, warning the Warriors<\/a> young gun that it can leave his side short as his teammates continue to play.<\/p>\n

The 19-year-old is just nine games into his NRL career but has already found himself in several spot-fires with the opposition, his latest being a clash with fill-in Panthers halfback Tyrone May<\/a> in Brisbane today.<\/p>\n

May tackled Walsh late as he kicked the footy in the first half and, as the Panther continued to grapple with him, the Warriors speedster began to fight back.<\/p>\n

The melee spilled into several Wests Tigers players waiting for their game to begin beyond the sideline.<\/p>\n

While Walsh does play with plenty of heart, he's also regularly involved in feisty encounters because he's a clear target of the opposition due to his supreme talent. Opposition teams try to ruffle him to put him off his game.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Cronk gave the Queenslander some advice.<\/p>\n

"I think that is something Reece Walsh is going to have to handle," Cronk said on Fox League.<\/p>\n

"He would be put at the top of the list in terms of shutting down the Warriors, so (Penrith coach) Ivan Cleary has probably put a target on Walsh and Tyrone May is following suit.<\/p>\n

"So Walsh, while he needs to stand on his own two feet, needs to handle that physical altercation that is coming his way."<\/p>\n
